Paul entered the elevator industry in 1985 as an apprentice in the modernization field. Within three years Paul achieved “A” Mechanic status, supervising modernization jobs, troubleshooting and answering emergency service calls. In 1991, Paul was licensed by the New York City Department of Buildings as an elevator inspector and joined a top NYC Consulting firm where he began developing specifications for elevator modernizations and new installations. Here he learned the engineering aspects of vertical transportation and also developed drafting and design skills.
